Why I Create Art

I mostly make art to let my imagination run wild. It makes me happy when I can see something through from idea to finished piece. I focus primarily on digital art and 3D modeling. While I’m not particularly strong at drawing freehand without guides, I occasionally make something decent.

I don’t have much of a formal philosophy with art—I usually imagine something in my mind and try to replicate it perfectly, though I often fall short of a perfect copy.

Challenges I Face

My main weakness is creating art completely from scratch. For example, drawing a person can be difficult because it’s hard to get symmetry and shapes right. Most human drawings I’ve done either use a base to trace from or require extra adjustments afterwards. Anatomy and symmetry are the recurring challenges I encounter the most.

Selected Artwork

  • Chloe Android Render - 01 (Completed) – A 3D render of a fictional female-esque android sitting in a dimly lit room and hugging her knees. View here.
  • The Dream Watcher (Completed) – A render of a fictional entity inspired by a creepypasta I wanted to make. I was especially proud of this one. View here.
  • SCP-179 3D Render #1 (Completed) – My best attempt at 3D art so far, taking nearly a week to create. Based on the fictional SCP-179 (Sauelsuesor) from the SCP Wiki. View here.
  • Daisy the Angel (Completed) – Created using a 3D model from MakeHuman, posed in Blender, then traced and enhanced in Paint.NET with clothes and wings added by hand. View here.

This isn’t all my artwork—other pieces are scattered across my two DeviantArt accounts and Newgrounds page. For a full archive: DeviantArt (Old), DeviantArt (New/Main), and Newgrounds.
